If you are looking for a guide (or mentor) to navigate through your career, submit the application form below. We will try to best match a mentor according to the information you submitted.Currently we are actively recruiting mentors. As soon as our mentor drive is completed you will be paired with a mentor that is right for your needs and background.

You can request more than one mentor as per your needs. If you decide to end the mentoring relationship with your mentor, please let the mentor know as a courtesy, and also update under your profile on Mentor Yuva website.

Dos for Mentees

  • Take first step to initiate the conversation with the mentor.
  • Ask mentors what day of the week or time of the day is best for them to have discussion. Set the frequency of calls with the mentor at the beginning.
  • Maintain professional etiquettes. Be courteous. Be respectful.
  • Set specific goals for this mentoring relationship.During every call/meeting, have specific thoughtful questions ready to discuss.
  • Be mindful about the mentor's time.
  • Be on exact pre-decided time for the call.Never be late for the call.If due to some unavoidable circumstances, you can not attend the upcoming call/meeting, let the mentor know as soon as possible.
  • Treat mentors professionally.
  • Be responsive to the mentor’s suggestions.Follow up after your last discussion.If any of the mentor’s suggestions worked for you, let them know. They will be happy to see your progress.
  • Do your homework before discussing with the mentor.

Don’ts for Mentees

  • Do not discuss about personal matters such as religion, caste etc.
  • Do not call the mentors at odd times.
  • Do not expect mentors to take decisions for you.They can suggest you or share their experience with you.They can help you to make the decisions. But will not take decisions for you.
  • Do not gossip.
  • Do not take rejection of mentoring personally.
  • Do not ask any unprofessional favour from the mentor.
  • Do not expect mentors to do work for you. e.g. writing a CV or resume.They can review it and provide comments but don't expect them to prepare a resume for you.
